My channel is for those interested in the Indian Scout motorcycles, or just bikes in general. Since I do all my own modifications, I wanted to show viewers all the possibilities you have with this type of bike. Information was so limited, I decided to expand on that. I hope to inspire others to tap into their creative side and have fun with their bike.

Great video. Thanks for the awesome tip on the fine grit cream for any stripped bolt heads!
This has the be the best informative video in full detail.. great job
@@mg52977 Wow! Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Love the video. How tall are you?
Thank you. I'm 5'10"
Hi - thank you so much for this video. I’m waiting on a set of wheels to arrive and this is just brilliant. Do you need to grease up the axle when installing the new wheel?
That's a great question. Yes, but a very light coating will suffice. I believe when I originally installed it I used wheel bearing grease.
Thanks again - and honestly, what’s guys like you do for the rest of us just getting started on our journey - its priceless. Legend!
Hey again - been following your vid step by step, I’m stuck getting the stock spacer out of the rear belt drive sprocket.. I CANNOT get it to budge… any ideas?
@@markmcginness1933 Try putting the entire belt drive in the freezer for an hour. Materials will contract when cold. If it still won't come out, get a couple of pry bars and place them 180 degrees apart and try prying it out. Make sure to place a towel or shop rag under the pry bars as to not damage the machined edge of the pulley.
any need to have a tune done after installing exhaust?
It’s not necessary. Others would say it is, but I had other pipes put on by the dealer and they didn’t do a tune, so I decided not to.
Gorgeous! I need those mirrors for mine. Please do tell?
Stock bar end mirror mounts cut in half, then I drilled a hole and mounted some generic “rectangle motorcycle mirrors” from Ebay.
So, no rear fender? Wheres the stock one?
I sold it a while back.
That is NOT a bobber. That is NOT a bobber riding position.
Gorgeous bike! I love the seat and fender delete.
Did you tune it?
I did not
@@oxouk your not running lean?
@@Anunnaki1821 No. Never had any idle issues or any other abnormalities.
Hands down the best for the 60!!!
The best pipes for the 60? Definitely
anyone can give me the size of the spacers?
dam i love that floating seeeeeat! Scout Bobber is by far the sexiest midweight sport cruiser out and also like the triumph bobber but bang for your buck incomparable
100%. You can’t beat the bobber for the price. Its low center of gravity makes it easy to handle also.
Whats up Jason!? I stumbled across this old video of yours and your kit sounds sick bro! You're a really good drummer and I understand why they replaced me with you. I was too distracted with girls and surfing back then that I didn't put my complete heart into it. I'm just a self taught drummer who learned from listening to Nirvana, you on the other hand got serious skills. You sound great man, hope you're doing good these days. Later...
Hey man, I was actually at the gym listening to Echo 7 when I got this message. That’s crazy. I appreciate the compliment man. I have been replaced by drummers that were more dedicated to the craft than I was. Distractions certainly played a part, but you move on. I’ve been playing bass for the last 3 years and don’t really play the drums as much as I would like to. Things are good on my end and certainly hope the same for you Mike.
where i can buy all the pieces for do this job? thanks
I bought everything from RCcomponents.com
Very good job, nice video, well detailed and clear. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
You are very welcome. I appreciate the compliment.
Is it not worth to jack the bike up before undoing the suspension to release all pressure? Also that belt looks so close to the wheel. I'd be a bit worried about that rubbing.
I dont have a bike , but your video makes me want to buy a bike.lol thanks
Thank you!
where did you you purchase your seat
From my local Indian dealer. You can search through Polaris website, Indianmotorcycles.com.
Badass set up
thanks, doing mine today
I ordered the RC Components kit, but the seat isn't available, any ideas? does the kit work without the solo seat and im doing fender delete. thx
Your stock seat mounts to your sub frame which also holds your stock fender. The subframe will be removed to accommodate the 240 wheel and tire. My seat is the Indian 1920 Solo saddle seat. Try looking for it from Indianmotorcycles.com, through Polaris that makes Indian, Indian parts nation, or your nearest Indian dealer.
thank you i just ordered one.
If you need any pointers for the install be sure to watch my detailed video. Thanks for watching!
And U.S. flag, reflected on her. Who finds It?
What I did to lift my scout was remove the seat and hooked a wrachet strap around the top of each shock bolts and across the seat area, then used my engine hoist to lift the rear up, the balance was perfect and no fear of dropping the bike.
Not a bad idea. I like it.
That's a very cool motorcycle ❤ You now need a nice cool open helmet, to complete the look!
I appreciate the compliment. I usually wear a skid lid or open face, but this particular day was unusually cold for South Carolina. My hands were so numb I could barely pull the clutch lever.
My mechanic looked at this video while we were discussing putting the 240 tire kit on my 2024 bobber and even he was impressed with your explanations and skills. He's installed a bunch of 240's on harleys so he was unfamiliar with the RC setup on an Indian. Needless to say; he told me to go ahead and order the kit and he would slap it on with a custom fender job and rear light setup. This will all be done after I get back from Vegas in April. Thanks for another great video!
I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you for watching the video. Just a word of advice, RC sends the rear wheel with the Metzeller 888 tire for a reason. Due to tire size inconsistencies some 240 tires will not clear the swing arm and will rub. Good luck on your build. You won't be dissapointed!
What mirrors are those? Need an adapter?
The mirrors are cheap $30 set on Ebay. Just type in "Black rectangle motorcycle mirrors". They will have a split stem. Unscrew the mirrors from the split mount. Cut the bar end mounts from your oem mirrors in half, drill a hole using a tap and die, and screw in the rectangle mirrors into the cut oem bar end mounts. If you screw them up, oh well, just buy another pair. If you go to my page, I'm sure I have a video showing how I did it.
Do you happen to remember the dimensions of the block-off plate you made?
I don’t, but when you remove the rear subframe, just trace around the mounting surface onto a piece of poster paper and make a template.
Can you keep the stock rear Fender too?
Unfortunately you cannot
hey friend, how tall are you?
I am 5’10”
Cool mirrors
Let me ask you, how did you fit the brake spacers in with the caliper mount, I have ZERO clearance, i can't even get the thick spacer and caliper mount in. looks like I need 3/16 of an inch more room. Did it just go right in for you?
I had no issues at all. Assuming all your parts are correct, I don't see why it won't fit.
I just watched the video, You need to remove the stock spacer from the left side of your wheel, it's 3/16 or so longer than the one that came with the new wheel. That's where your clearance issue is. Go to the 12:00 min mark in the video and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Thanks for your reply. Got it all squared away it was just really tight and took some finagling
@@user-qq8po8df7d Glad to hear that. Now go ride that bad machine!
Thank you for replying to my question re the exhaust. I am very appreciative of your channel (it seems that you and I have very similar tastes). I was saving up for a 240 tire kit; but will get this exhaust first! This one mod REALLY changes the look of the bike. (so glad I'm a subscriber to your channel)
You’re very welcome. The radical radius exhaust follows the curvature of the tank for a more fluid design. Hands down the best looking exhaust.
how much it cost that conversion?
It’s around $2300 for the wheel, tire and belt guard.
Hey can you tell me what seat that is and where to buy it?
It is the Indian “1920 solo saddle seat”. It is available at any Indian dealership
NICE INDIAN BOBBER LOVE THE COLOUR 😊
What kit is that ????
It’s the 240 “Raider” kit from RC Components. It comes with the wheel, tire and belt guard which I threw in the trash. Time of purchase it was $2300.
Did you have to buy a part to keep your brake lights mounted since you removed the back fender? Don’t know if I need another piece to keep my stock brake lights
I used a tv wall mount bracket. Basically all you need is a long piece of flat metal, drill two holes to attach to the underside of the seat mount, make a 90 degree bend at each end of the flat metal, drilled a hole at each end to mount your tail lights.
Awesome! Thank you very much. You did an amazing job with this bike
@@RealKalEl Thanks man. I appreciate it.
Did you install a better air intake and tune the bike?
I did not.
Kinda leery about ordering those drag bars from Indianaftermarket; seeing that it was threaded wrong and the angle of the bars were so much straighter than your previous bars.
You are a GENIUS! Your customizations are UNREAL! So glad I subscribed to your channel. My bike also thanks you!
One of the most beautiful customizations that I have seen yet!!!! Delete front fender, drag bars, custom rectangle mirror hook up, 1920's solo seat!!!!!! We have the exact same taste!!!! Just bought a 2024 Scout Bobber in sagebrush smoke last week. Will look to customize mine just like yours real soon! That's a fact!
Thanks for watching. The Scout was definitely a game changer in the motorcycle industry.
If you’re ever selling this beauty please let me know.
I sold it a year ago
no way can that be comfortable unless you like driving trying to touch your toes. these bikes need to have mid controls
excelente video no podía dejar de agradecer y voy a hacerlo yo mismo gracias !! PS the jfast video can you share the link?
2yrs later, and this is still a cool video, Thanks for creating this... I've never rode a bike, and now suddenly, I want one😅
هههههههههههههههههههههههههههههہَ
Tell me about it. These newer cruisers from Benda, triumph, Indian, & Honda got me turning my head. Never ever considered getting a bike until I walked past parked Indian bobber last summer.
Thank you for the music, much better than the sound of the bike.
Thanks for watching and helping me get paid.
Try riding that bike for 500 miles a day and see how far you get😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sounds great any tunning needed to be done?
No tuning required
